We usually celebrate Easter by having relatives down to our house for an Easter dinner and egg hunt, but this didn't work out this year. Instead, my family came down to visit me in Ames - we went to the church I have been going to and then out to eat for lunch. We still needed to have a family get together and do our little Easter celebration, so we found another day that worked for everyone, which also happened to be on my 20th birthday!
My sister got some new chicks in time for everyone to see them!
The egg hunt was still on! There were lots of eggs filled with candy and money - including a golden egg containing a couple dollars.

And, the race was on to find the golden egg.

The menu was kept the same as our usually Easter dinner - ham, bbq meatballs, rosemary potatoes, bread, salad, fruit, veggies. Such a delicious meal!
I requested a cheesecake for my birthday. Ann made this BEAUTIFULLY, DELICIOUS cheesecake! It was SO good. It is a recipe from The Complete America's Test Kitchen Cookbook, which she and my aunt went in together to get me for my birthday!
Julie just had her 50th birthday, so we celebrated that too.

^^My mom and dad got me a KitchenAid mixer for my birthday! It will be so much fun to have in my apartment.^^ |
